What is "Altered Art?"
"Altered Art" can be made from found objects the structured into just about anything you want. For example, altering a game board into a three-dimensional artwork based on either the original game or one from the imagination.
Just about anything can be used to "alter" the art. You can paint over objects, attach items to it by numerous means.t especially "sings" as a process that works within the structure of my philosophical, spiritual, and personal mode of being. I have begun to see that "walking my talk" is an essential component of my own transformation. This would mean addressing my concerns for the trashing of the environment by large industries and individuals who do not know better or who do not care. I like breathing. I think everyone, including you would like to have clean air, water, and wildlife flourishing.
"Dreaming of Change"
Made using a Genuine cigar box, altered by painting with acrylics, A calendar page image, copper wire mesh screen, clippings, lightly sanded to dull finish, and glazed with acrylic medium. Blue felt lining in the inside bottom. It measures 8 3/8 inches High X 8" Wide X 1 7/8" deep. This box can be used to store stationary, collected items, or just about anything that fits within. The felt cushions the bottom so that your treasures will be safe.
